The 12 members of a youth football team and their coach in Thailand have been successfully rescued from the flooded cave in Chiang Rai Province, Thai authorities announced on Tuesday.
They were trapped in Tham Luang cave since June 23. More than 1,000 personnel were involved in the rescue work. This included divers from the Royal Thai Navy and others from seven countries.
After the rescue, the cave was temporarily closed. According to medical staff at the hospital, all of those rescued are in good condition. Two might have pneumonia, one has a slow heartbeat, and another has a foot injury. The team will be quarantined for seven days.
