Airstrikes on the Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeida

Israel on Saturday claimed to have carried out airstrikes on the Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeida, in southern Yemen.

According to the Statement of Israel Defense Forces,fighter jets struck military targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the area of the Al-Hodeida Port in Yemen in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months.Reports of casualties were emerging, while it was not immediately possible to ascertain a death toll.

The strikes against Hodeida come a day after the Houthi movement claimed to have carried out a deadly drone strike of their own, in Tel Aviv. At least one person was killed in the drone strike, near a branch of the US embassy, at approximately 03:12 local time.
