Aid to temporary displaced persons: Kachin State CM provides aid in Myitkyina

Kachin State Government has been making efforts to close IDP camps and assiting temporary displaced persons in returning to their original places.

Meanwhile, at the SwutNgaitTaung IDP camp in Myitkyina Township, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan met with the temporary displaced persons from the SwutNgaitTaung and ShweSett IDP camps who will return to their original places after taking shelter at the camps for about 10 years.

In this meeting, the Chief Minister pledged to provide more assistance to them at the their original places as well. And, the Chief Minister and many other officials provided over 7.3 million Kyats, rice and rescue aid to 198 persons who will return to their original places in Myitkyina, Waingmaw and Moemauk townships areas. A temporary displaced person expressed words of thanks for the aid.
