




For the cyclone Mocha-affected people in Rakhine State, the MV Mercury Force carrying 2,872 concrete lampposts donated by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Electric Power, and the MV Wirupakkha carrying 35,000 rice bags, 400 tonnes of iron rods, 20 tonnes of flange plate and 2 tonnes of foodstuffs donated by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement left the Myanmar Terminal for Sittwe on Saturday.
It’s reported that starting from 16 May, 30 vessels including Tatmadaw vessels transported over 40,000 tonnes of rehabilitation items including construction materials, electronic devices, medications and health equipment, consumer goods and foodstuffs, over 249,000 gallons of diesel and over 199,000 gallons of Octane 92 to Sittwe Township of Rakhine State.
