





Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and officials visited Rathedaung Village of Setse Village tract in Than Byu Zayat Township on Sunday.
During the meeting with the strong wind victims at the monastery, the State Chief Minister called for efforts for natural disaster response activities by cooperating with the relevant departments, organizations and officials. He also added that works are underway to transport medical aid and foodstuffs to the areas hit by natural disaster.
Also, Chairman of the Township Disaster Response and Management Committee reported on the conditions being carried out regarding the natural disasters. And, the State Chief Minister and officials provided construction materials, rice and cash assistance to the strong wind victims.
There, they also viewed around the strong wind-affected houses and coordinated the needs. Due to the strong winds that occurred in Rathedaung Village of Setse Village Tract, Than Byu Zayat Township on 24th May, 3 houses collapsed and a monastery and 17 houses were damaged without any casualties reported.
