Aid Provision: Provision of healthcare services and nutritious foods

The State Administration Council has declared the areas damaged by Cyclone Mocha as natural disaster affected areas under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law, and senior military officers have been assigned in Rakhine State to carry out rehabilitation tasks in these areas.

On 11th July, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and departmental officials who are currently in Kyaukphyu Township paid homage to the Presiding Sayadaw of the Aung Mingalar Pariyatti monastery, inquired about health conditions of the Sayadaw and donated offertories.

There, he also viewed provision of health care services to the Presiding Sayadaw by a mobile medical team, donated nutritious foods to the students of the monastic education school at the monastery, cordially met with the teachers and students and gave words of encouragement.

Also, the Lt-Gen inspected garbage clearance by staff of the Township Development Committee and coordinated the needs.
