Aid Provision: Kachin State Government provides aid

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan met with teachers, educational staff and locals who flee from Tarlawgyi station in Myitkyina township and Shwe Nyaung Pin village tract in Waingmaw township due to lack of stability.

At first, the Chief Minister along with the State Advocate General and concerned officials met with the locals at the Lisu Baptist Church in No. 4 ward and said that plans are underway to be able to provide assistance and for education of the students.

Then, the Kachin State Government provided 197 bags of rice worth over 2.9 million kyats and 787 boxes of instant noodle, and also the Kachin State Natural Disaster Management Committee provided over 3 million kyats and soaps and the State Education Office assisted 50 dozens of exercise books for students.

And, the Chief Minister coordinated the requirements upon the reports by one of the locals. Likewise, the Chief Minister met with the teachers and educational officials at the No. 1 Basic Education High School and encouraged them. And, the state government provided rice and instant noodle boxes worth over 1 million Kyats and 6 million kyats of cash assistance for teachers.

Also, the Kachin State Natural Disaster Management Committee assisted over 700,000 kyats. Then, the Chief Minister presented certificates of honour to donors who donated clothes for the students from SheinKhaung area in KhaungLanPhoo Township as their school caught fire.
