Aid Provision: Aid provided to flood-affected people in Kayin State

Heavy rains triggered floods in Myawaddy and Hlaingbwe townships of Kayin State on the 4th and 5th of August.

Markets and houses in low-lying areas of those townships were flooded. Tatmadawmen and members of the Police Force and the Fire Services and social organizations helped the flood-affected people take shelter at temporary camps in the townships.

Healthcare services are being provided at the camps. Concerned officials also visited the camps, provided aid, gave words of encouragement to the flood-affected people and coordinated the needs.
