Aid Provision: Aid provided in flood-affected areas

Heavy rains triggered floods in Kyaikhto and Bilintownships of Mon State and Hlaingbwe Township of Kayin State. Tatmadawmen from the Southeastern Command and members of the Myanmar police force, fire brigade and volunteer teams evacuated flood-affected people to temporary camps and provided health care services.

The Commander of the Southeastern Command Brigadier General Soe Min and officials met with the flood-affected people at the temporary camps in Bilin Township and provided rice, cooking oil, eggs, instant noodle, rice boxes and also assisted cash.

Similarly, in Mrauk-U Township of Rakhine State, Tatmadawmen from the Western Command and members of the Myanmar Police Force and fire brigade evacuated the flood-affected to Mya Tasaung monastery.
