AICTA 2019: MCF Receiving Applications To Submit ASEAN ICT Awards

Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF) is receiving the applications to submit ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA) 2019, which will be held in Vientiane, Laos on  23th and 24th of October in conjunction with 19th (Telecommunication Minister Meeting) TELMIN.

The ASEAN ICT Awards (AICTA) is a project approved by the ASEAN Telecommunication Ministers to recognizing the most appropriate in the adoption of ICT and to further recognize the interplay of ICT in the growing economy of ASEAN Member Countries and it takes place every year in the host countries among the ASEAN member countries since 2012.

Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF) is responsible to send the talented competitors to AICTA under the guidance of Ministry of Transportation and Communications.

Joint Secretary- 2, Myanmar Computer Federation, Aye Aye Thin said “It’s like tangible and intangible. The Competitors can draw intention for their products and can extend the market as well. If they win in AICTA, they have more chance to penetrate the market for their products even into ASEAN because they have already attracted to ASEAN Member Countries.”

The competitors have to compete with the products that must have data base and be in-line one of the six categories such as the public sector, the private sector, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Digital Content Category, Start-up Company and Research and Development.

The Application of AICTA 2019 is open on 1st of June and which will be closed in 1st of August. Meanwhile, the final Judging (Online) is on 16th August to 8th September and the final Judging and Awarding Ceremony is on 23th and 24th of October, 2019.

At the stage of online judging, 3 short lists will come out. These 3 short lists will get transportation charge USD 1,000 per head or groups ( maximum 2) to go final judging in Laos for the first, second and third prizes.

Joint-Secretary 2, Myanmar Computer Federation, Aye Aye Thin said “First screening online is just decided by the short videos. But in the final judging, we have to make presentation in English about our products for 10 minutes. So, within 10 minutes, we have to present about our products on short to the points to the judges. Therefore, presentation is really important in the final judging.”

Anyone who is interesting in ICT and already have own products can apply by the company or individuals or groups (maximum 2)  with the entry form and 2-5 minutes short video regarding the products.

The Applications to MCF will close on 25th July, 2019. The details facts about the competition can find out by the official websites. It’s also learnt that, Myanmar will host AICTA in 2021.
