


With the support of Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable producers and exporters Association and GIZ, the Department of Agriculture organized the mushroom growing and selling cluster group in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, on Monday.
This is the very first time organizing for mushroom growing and selling cluster group in Nay Pyi Taw. It was intended to be more increasing mushroom growers and mushroom growing areas as well as systematic mushroom growing technique.
Director, Department of Agriculture, Myint Swe said “We welcomed to this new cluster group and we will support any other necessary assistance for them. We have many mushroom experts and they will accomplish well this training program, door to door technical support, cooperation for cluster group and any suggestion. The mushroom growers are cultivating some of the villages and townships of Nay Pyit Taw Council area. We are now conducting the training of 9 kinds of mushroom cultivation method, some of the mushroom spices are imported from abroad and some are doing locally by tissue method.”
After organizing the cluster group, it will collect more detail listed for mushroom growers and growing areas across the country, said the expert.
CEC Member, MFFVPEA, Tin Aung said “Our association organized in 2014 but not too much outlet reach across the country. Most of the members are from cities so we try to organize such kind of cluster group so as to carry out species, agriculture input, and market extension. We will collect the mushroom growers and then will do more capacity building training program with foreign experts, connect the market, dry mushroom, various types of mushroom production technique.”
The most Mushroom growing areas are Yangon, Bago, Ayeyawaddy, Mandalay regions and Shan State. It has planned to more organizing mushroom growers cluster groups in States and Regions, it is learnt.
