Agriculture Sector: Paddy Transplanter and Seeder Demonstration

In order to improve agriculture sector of the country, the Agricultural Mechanization Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation organized a demonstration event of Paddy Transplanter and Seeder at the NyaungKone village in Hmawbi Township of Yangon Region. The event took place for farmers to grow paddy systematically and to reduce input cost during the 2023 monsoon paddy season.

Head, Agricultural Mechanization Camp, Tun Tun Lin said "A demonstration has been already made at the YeMaw village of Hlegu Township as a knowledge sharing session - we conducted this event with the aims of saving time and money for farmers. With the use of modern technology, the paddy plants will grow systematically and we can get targeted amount. "

Efforts are being made to develop agricultural sector of the country by shifting traditional farming to mechanized farming. Likewise, with service charge, Agricultural Mechanization departments under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is providing services in cultivation of quality paddy seeds with Paddy Transplanters and seeders for farmers and growers who can’t effort to buy the machines.      

According to the official from the Agricultural Mechanization Department, implementations are being made in repairing and maintaining of farmlands, growing, harvesting and farmland reformation processes. And also, training courses are being given to farmers and growers.
