Agriculture Sector: Bago Region Chief Minister makes inspections

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win made inspection of the regional agriculture sector.

First, in DaungZun Village of Shwetaung Township, the Chief Minister inspected the different paddy species test farm and instructed concerned officials to urge farmers to identify plots of acres according to each type of paddy and carry out test plots.

In HlwaSin Village-tract of Okpho Township, the Chief Minister viewed the paddy threshing process. There, he also instructed officials to share correct planting methods to farmers and to upgrade irrigation system.

The Chief Minister also viewed the paddy threshing process beside the Yangon-Pyay Road and held talks with farmers and growers on plans for beans and oil crops plantation with the state economic promotion fund.

In KaingPyinGyi Village-tract of Minhla Township, the Chief Minister viewed the peanut cultivation process and made discussions with growers and concerned officials for oil crops plantation and oil purification. It's learnt that there are over 2.6 million acres of monsoon paddy in 28 townships of Bago Region.
