Agriculture & Livestock Sector: Increasing production of agriculture, livestock & local products

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and party made a field inspection in the Western Bago Region for increasing the production of agriculture, livestock and local products.

First, the Region Chief Minister viewed the harvesting of summer paddy in ThayawaddyTownship. He then met with the local farmers and instructed to plant the short-lived and high-yieldrice varieties.

Afterwards, the Region Chief Minister and party inspected breeding of DYN pigs with the State economic promotion fund at Aye MyaThayar Village, Oak Pho Township where he instructed the officials to accelerate the pure strain and to prevent the spreading of infectious diseases. Next, the Region Chief Minister looked into the farm equipment and quality blacksmith industry which is also operating with the State economic promotion fund at Moe Nyo Dan street.

There, he ordered the officials to carry out the production of import goods widely and ensuring the valuable agricultural products and farming method. Then, he viewed the production of paddy husk fuel and installation of gasifier for electricity generation using paddy husk waste in Thazi Village of Gyo Bin Gauk Township.

He made instructions on production of firewood briquette widely, co-production of firewood briquette stoves and selling not only in the domestic market but also in the international market.

After that, the Chief Minister and party inspected the modern farms cultivated with the use of drum seeder which are running with the State economic promotion fund at Thet Ng Pyin Village of Nattalin Township and KyuTaw Kan Village of Paungde township.

There, he instructed officials to nurture monsoon paddy beforehand in the acres and to get high-yield strains and to be able to use the inputs in correct ways.
