Agriculture & Livestock Sector: Dy Minister makes inspections in Lewei Township area

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi and departmental officials inspected the establishment of crops and forest plantations in Chaung Ma Ngel dam area in Lewei Township under the Agroecological Project.

During the inspection tour, the Deputy Minister gave instructions on establishing crops and forest plantations to develop an economic zone based on agriculture and highlighted to raise public awareness of environmentally friendly agriculture and livestock breeding system and fulfill the needs.

The Deputy Minister also inspected poultry farms in Kyauk Talone Kyaung Su  Ywar Thit  Village and in KanaSoe Village and met with the breeders and gave instructions to develop environmentally friendly small scale livestock industries.

Also, he inspected CP pig farm in Ma Dok Pin Village and  buffalo farm in Shar Chaung Village and discussed with the entrepreneurs and livestock breeders on cleanliness of the farms and workplaces, prevention of infectious diseases and production safe and qualified livestock products and value-added products.
