





Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win together with officials made a field inspection of agriculture, livestock and MSME businesses in Daik-U Township.
First, the Chief Minister inspected the demonstration of planting 90 types of paddies with the Regional Government Fund in KaToke Village. He then met with local farmers where he coordinated the needs to produce seeders, to expand the cultivation of green manure, and to ensure that the irrigation canals are not blocked in order to grow triple crops and to plant Navier Grass in the areas beside the farmland.
There, he also provided fruit and vegetable seeds for the farmers. Afterwards, the Chief Minister and party looked into the Monsoon Paddy model plot in Pyinmalwin Village-Tract.
He also attended the mixed paddy seeds and natural and chemical fertilizer scattering ceremony. There, he instructed the officials to expand marketable pure seed plantations through Contract Farming system in connection with local rice millers and to obtain guaranteed pure seeds, and plant short-lived and high-yielding varieties of rice for domestic/foreign markets.
Then, the Chief Minister and officials looked into duck farming in Pyinmalwin Village which is running with the State Economic Promotion Fund.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to expand the livestock breeding, plant Nivea grass, produce animal feedstuff by using raw materials from rice and oil mills and coordinated the needs.
Afterwards, the State Chief Minister and party viewed around the work processes at the Pickled Fish and Peanut oil production factory at Kyaungsu ward. There, he called for efforts to increase safe local production and get FDA approval, not to use chemicals, upgrade the packaging system and to import to foreign markets and coordinated the needs.
