Agriculture Development: New building at Agriculture Education Training School

In commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of Union Day, new campus building was opened at Agriculture Education and Rural Development Training School in Ywar Htaung Ward of Aung Lan District on 7th February. Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the ceremony together with the region ministers and officials.

After the ceremonial ribbon cutting event, the Chief Minister presented cash rewards to the performance troupes, and unveiled the inscription of the new building. At the training hall of the school, the Chief Minister met with the trainees, gave encouragement and assisted teaching aids.

Following this, the Chief Minister gave a remark, saying modern agriculture and livestock breeding techniques of Magway Region could assist the country’s economic development. He also stressed the needs to fulfill the experts for development of human resources in agriculture and livestock breeding sector.

The Chief Minister added that providing agricultural education through Information and Communications Technology (ICT) could help speedy access of agricultural technique to farmers. The attendees are urged to make collaborative efforts for the development of agriculture and livestock breeding sector of the country.

Then, the officials handed over the document relating with the newly constructed campus building. Two Agriculture Education and Rural Development Training Schools were opened in Minbu (Sa Ku) and Myo Thit Townships in 2024 for the development of socio-economic lives of the locals.

In 2024-2025 fiscal year, two more training schools have been built in Thatyat and Aung Lan Townships with the regional budget. The training schools could assist knowledge on boosting per acre yields, enhancing agricultural production, creating job opportunities for locals and farmers and ensuring local food sufficiency and food safety through the production of nutritious products.
