Agriculture Development: Fresher Welcome Ceremony & thriving plantations in Heho

A Fresher Welcome Ceremony for 2023-2024 academic year was held at the Institute of Agriculture and Livestock (Heho/ Demawso) on Sunday. Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye attended the ceremony and made a speech, emphasizing the need to turn out experts in agriculture and livestock sector, contributing the socio-economic development of rural community.
This was followed by greetings, extended by the Principal and the senior students. One of the first year students expressed words of thanks.
During the ceremony, prize winners at the 76th anniversary Independence Day commemorative essay, article and poem contests were awarded. After the entertainment programs, the Chief Minister presented cash rewards for the institute.
The Chief Minister and party later visited the Farm of Seed Division under the Agriculture Department, and inspected the thriving plantations.
