Agriculture Development: Fertilizers provided to farmers in Mudon

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein together with officials, visited Bae Yan Village in Mudon Township on Saturday.

The visit focused on observing a demonstration on the balanced use of chemical and natural fertilizers at a 300-acre monsoon paddy pilot plantation.

The Chief Minister highlighted the vital role of agriculture in Mon State's economy, particularly in farming, rubber cultivation, and orchard plantations.

To support the farmers, the Agriculture Department is actively providing technologies for the systematic usage of agricultural inputs, encouraging effective implementation.

In addition to supporting traditional monsoon paddy cultivation, the state government is also providing quality species, agricultural inputs, and loans to promote the cultivation of oil crops like sunflower, beans, and pulses.

During the visit, the Chief Minister urged all farmers to put forth their utmost efforts to boost production and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.

The Head of Township Agriculture Department later explained the implementation of multi-purpose technology paddy pilot plantation and reported on the needs of local farmers.

After coordinating to the needs, the Chief Minister and officials presented fertilizers to the farmers. They later viewed the thriving paddy plantation and broadcasting of fertilizers there.
