Agriculture Development :Enhancing agricultural production & exports in Shan State

A seminar on boosting the production and exports of agricultural products in Shan State was held in Taunggyi on Sunday.

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo attended the seminar and discussed the government's encouragement of cultivating coffee and avocado, as they are suitable for the weather conditions in Shan State.

He emphasized the need to increase production, expand the market, meet export quality standards, and coordinate efforts among government departments, associations, and growers.

The Union Minister also addressed issues raised by officials and attendees. Later, the Union Minister visited the Myanadi Dried Fruit Factory in Shwe Nyaung, where he oversaw the production process.

Afterwards, he proceeded to Uthakan  Village in Heho, where he met with the Potato Association to discuss increasing production, expanding the market, boosting exports, and enhancing cooperation among growers, associations, and departments.
