Agriculture Development : Deputy Minister's Inspection and Farmers' Meeting

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw inspected the supply of irrigation water for monsoon paddy plantation through a solar-powered tube well in Ponnamar Village of Tatkone Township on August 24th.

During his visit, he also engaged with local farmers and emphasized the ministry's commitment to increasing farmers' income through triple-crop cultivation, ensuring food sufficiency, and implementing additional irrigation projects.

The Deputy Minister and party later proceeded to Gway Pin Village, where they observed the distribution of combined fertilizer and the supply of irrigated water. In discussions with local farmers, he provided instructions to enhance crop cultivation, minimize irrigated water wastage, and encourage cooperative efforts among farmers for the systematic use of water resources.

On arrival at Magyi Pin Village-tract, the Deputy Minister and party witnessed a demonstration of monsoon paddy cultivation using a 10-row seeder, manufactured by No.68 Mechanized Farming Camp under the Mechanized Farming Department.

In the evening, the Deputy Minister and party inspected the inflow of water into the Sin Thay Dam and the distribution of irrigation water from the diversion weir. Afterwards, they held a meeting with members of the Water Users Group, discussing the water supply plan and the efficient utilization of irrigation water.
