Agriculture Development: 43rd edition of Farmers Talk

The Department of Agricultural Research organized its 43rd edition of Farmers Talk on 3rd August. 25 farmers from Zeyathiri Township took part in the event under the title “Benefits of Green Manure on Soil and Crops”.

Expert from the Soil Science Research Division explained the benefits of using green manure, and replied the queries raised by the farmers. Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Tin Htut also called for collaborative efforts with local farmers for systematic utilization of green manure in seasonal crop cultivation.
