




Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Friday afternoon inspected progress of the Thilawa Multipurpose Agriculture and Livestock Zone implementation in Kyauktan Township of Yangon Region.
There, he heard report on matters including implementation of the Multipurpose Agriculture and Livestock zones and operation, livestock sector, distribution of products, study tour to foreign countries, plans to accelerate agriculture and livestock activities and use of the state economic promotion fund.
In his response, the Senior General said commodity high prices are due to high prices of inputs and wages. Livestock sector must be carried out to meet the consumption requirement in the region. In carrying out agricultural and breeding activities, it is also necessary to develop systematic farming systems.
Sufficient supply of necessary inputs must be managed. The first priority is to increase the production of agricultural and livestock products.
The Senior General urged concerned officials to make efforts to develop agriculture and livestock industries in the country by using the experiences and methods gained from studying in foreign countries. And, the Senior General viewed the display, inspected fish farming and gave necessary instructions.
