






Yay Zin Agriculture University held 31st Convocation Ceremony on Sunday. Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung attended the ceremony and made a speech.
He said according to the academic record of the university, 50% of students are from the families of farmers while 25% are from the service personnel. The rest are from the families of merchants and other vocations. It has been seen that modern agriculture technologies have been provided to those mainly from farmers’ families and rural areas. He urged all the graduates to try their utmost for dissemination of agriculture technologies.
A total of 220 degree holders for Bachelor of Agriculture, 14 for Master of Agriculture and 8 Ph.D degree holders during the ceremony. There are 86 graduates who could not attend the ceremony. The Union Minister later inspected the research farms, sample seeds, laboratory and seed bank.
He also discussed for producing quality species, extended conducting of research works and human resource development. They later arrived at Livestock Research Department and coordinated the needs.
