On 12th March, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and officials visited mechanized farming project area near Pin Laung  Junction in Zeyathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

There, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung and officials clarified the work implementation of the project. Upon clarifications, the Prime Minister highlighted the benefits that mechanized farming project brings to relevant individuals and nation and urged all to standadize and accelerate the project across the nation as well as to enhance the socioeconomic status of the rural people. 

Then, the Prime Minister and officials inspected the farming process, planting of paddy using transplanter and the condition of paddy plantations. On arrival at Myanmar-Korea Advanced Rice Mill at Sein Sar Pin  Village, the Prime Minister heard reports on operation process of the mill and further task implementations, stressed to produce qualified rice which have good market penetration.

At Nawin Creek Bridge (Asone), the Prime Minister inspected the renovation and expansion of the bridge, strainghtening the course of river, retaining walls construction and dredging process. At Shouk Kone  Village, the Prime Minister and party oversaw the thriving 80-acre winter sunflower plantations and stressed on multicropping acceleration and meeting target yields.

Subsequently, the Prime Minister and party visited Kan Gyi Livestock Breeding Zone in Kan Gyi Village. Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo presented reports on development of livestock breeding sector. Upon reports, the Prime Minister urged on acceleration of livestock production, ensuring local food sufficiency, and exporting raw and finished livestock products. The Prime Minister also inspected the poultry farms and cattle farms at the livestock zone.
