Agriculture and Livestock: MOALI Deputy Minister tours in Pyay Township

On November 3rd, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi met with local cotton growers in Won Tin Zate Village, Pyay Township.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister discussed expanding annual cotton cultivation, boosting exports and achieving targeted yields. He also toured the long-staple cotton farm of local farmer. He then inspected the operations of Khittara Hintha Co., Ltd and toured their facilities and tractor showrooms. There, the Deputy Minister instructed adherence to the lease agreement's rules and regulations.

On November 2nd, the Deputy Minister met with livestock farmers and dairy product manufacturers at the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department. He urged all to strive for development of higher-quality products that meet market demands, the transition from traditional to modern farming practices and the promotion of livestock feed farming systems.

Next, he met with agricultural sector officials and discussed the cultivation of oil crops, including peanuts, sesame, sunflower and cotton, funded by the National Economic Promotion Fund. They also focused on achieving target outputs for ten major crops and expanding sunflower and cotton cultivation.

The Deputy Minister continued his inspection at Shwe Myintmo Dairy Farm, evaluating dairy product production and also visited the milk collection facilities of Ngwe Zin Pearl Company.

In Shwe Daung Township, the Deputy Minister visited agricultural fields and met with farmers to discuss for boosting yields. He then inspected the Nat Hmaw Yar Min Thar Gyi poultry breeding and hatchery distribution business, noting the transition from natural reproduction to artificial insemination.

Subsequently, he visited a 30-acre YSR-1 Pure Breed Model Plot in Natalin Township and private livestock enterprises in Gyo Bin Gauk, Letpadan, and Tharyarwaddy Townships.
