Agriculture and Livestock Development: Crop plantations and livestock breeding farms inspected

Kachin State Government is providing assistance for agriculture and livestock sector in the state with the use of State Economic Promotion Fund.

On 20th May, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, together with officials, inspected crop plantations in Nan Kwae Village in Myitkyina Township. They asked after the market condition and availability of irrigated water, and provided cash assistance to the farmers.

Likewise, they inspected livestock breeding farms, being carried out with the 60 million allotted budget by the State Economic Promotion Fund. The Chief Minister gave necessary instructions and provided cash assistance to the Village Project Management Committee.

At the Agriculture Institute in Myitkyina, the Chief Minister and party inspected construction of livestock breeding farm and water tanks and research works. They then proceeded to the Industrial Zone Ward and inspected the installation of paper production machines and production of paper by tissue banana pulp.
