Agricultural Works: SAC member tours in Pyay District

Member of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, together with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, inspected the agricultural works in Pyay District on Saturday.

At Wun Tin Seik Village, they viewed the irrigation water supply to Cotton plantations using water sources from Nawin Creek through Water Wheel. Local farmers has benefited the high yield of cotton due to availability of irrigated water and quality species.

In Thit Cho Pin Village, the SAC member met with cotton growers and provided green gram seeds and inputs. They then oversaw the harvesting of cotton, test cultivation of mushroom and supply of irrigated water.

On arrival at the Farmers Training Schook in Zee Oat Village, the SAC member made a speech at the opening ceremony of the Training No.3 where farmers from eight townships are attending.

At Kyun Mee Village in Padaung Township, the SAC member met with farmers and provided agricultural inputs. The village has cultivated 20,000 acres of peanuts with the assistance of the Regional Government, achieving the yield of over 122 basket per acre.
