Agricultural Sector :Union Minister meets YwaNgan Coffee Farmers

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung met with YwaNgan Coffee and Tealeaf Association Chairman and officials and local coffee farmers at Myaing Village of YwaNgan Township in Shan State (South) on 31st August.

First, the Union Minister said that there are many unique local products and that YwaNgan Coffee will be also encouraged as one of the unique local products. He instructed the coffee farmers, entrepreneurs and associations to make reports frankly in order to expand the coffee plantation.

Next, Chairman of Danu Self-Administered Zone and Director General of Agricultural Department made discussions and the Union Minister and officials supplemented on the reports.

Then, the Union Minister viewed the coffee quality testing process at Coffee Technological Development Farm (YwaNgan), coffee technology sharing activities, coffee plantations at private farms, coffee production industries and producing coffee as the coffee-based finished goods. 

After that, the Union Minister arrived at the Regional Research Center in Aungban Township where he coordinated the needs.
