Agricultural sector: MoALI Union Minister inspected farms and factory

The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung inspected cultivation of mulberry, sericulture, inspection of infection and research works at the Pyin Oo Lwin Research and Technical Development Center and instructed the responsible officials to accelerate the research and technical development works and the work requirements.

Next, the Union Minister and party inspected  the medicinal orchid and containing and reproducing rare orchid species and instructed the officials to reproducing orchids of high economical value and the requirements to encourage commercial scale orchid producing.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister U Min Naung, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung visited livestock research camp (Mandalay) under the department of livestock and aquaculture research and the responsible officials clarified the implementation of research works and technical transferring training courses as per the fiscal year. In responding to the clarification, the Union minister and Chief Minister discussed the work requirements.

Next, the Union Minister and Chief Minister inspected the quality testing  of various agricultural machineries, performance quality, accurate performance, safety, durability of tractors and combine harvesters and gave necessary instructions.

Then, the Union Minister and Chief Minister inspected fingerling producing at Nat Yay Kan fishery camp and instructed regarding with production of fish hatchery for the local aquaculture farmers and to meet the target of producing healthy fingerlings for adding fish seeds as per the fiscal year and coordinated requirements.

In the evening, the Union Minister and departmental officials arrived at Myanmar Farm Machinery Factory (Ingone), inspected the status of re-manufacturing farm machinery, workshop of assembling hand-held tractors and manufacturing seeds dropping machine sent orders from regions and states, gave necessary instruction and provided cash for the factory staffs.
