Agricultural sector: Meeting on fertilizers and agricultural inputs held

The coordination meeting of Urea fertilizer purchasing and distribution leading committee was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development via online system with the attendance of committee Chairman Union Minister U Hla moe and committee members and representatives of Myanmar Fertilizer, Seed and Pesticide Entrepreneurs Association.

At the meeting, the Union Minister U Hla Moe said that the leading committee is scrutinizing and giving recommendations to be able to purchase the quality fertilizers and inputs in time.

The government has established for country’s economic promotion to be able to carry out the businesses based on the agriculture and livestock breeding. The required fertilizers and inputs have been arranged for half million acres of winter green gram and 0.85 million acres of summer paddy.

The Union Minister also said regarding with the issuing fertilizer reference price and instructed the cooperation of the related departments to be able to obtain the pedigree seeds for the farmers in time.

Next, one representative of Myanmar Fertilizer, Seed and Pesticide Entrepreneurs Association discussed regarding with acquiring import license, arrival of imports, completion of distribution and the requirement for the monsoon paddy project.

Then, the attending committee members clarified the work implementations in related sector.

Afterward, the Union Minister coordinated requirements regarding with the clarifications and urged the responsible officials to cooperate.
