Agricultural sector: Kachin State CM addressed the meeting

A meeting to accelerate the multi cropping in Myitkyina Township and to discuss and clarify farm land laws and for the emergence of a model cultivation plot within the state was held at City Hall in Myitkyina, Kachin State with the attendance of State Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan, concerned officials and residents.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister stressed the farmers to use the farmland systematically according to the existing laws and clarified the farmland laws and by-laws to avoid wasting farmlands.

Then, the officials from Department of Agriculture, Department of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management, Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics, State Advocate General Office and Township Development Committee discussed the rules and regulations, penalties and actions being taken against farmland laws.

And, the local farmers submitted sector-wise reports and concerned officials coordinated the requirements. Then, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to accelerate multicropping seasonal crops to secure the domestic consumption.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the processes of cleaning tree and bushes and clearing and excavating the drain for better drainage system in the compound of Public Hospital.

Then, the Chief Minister and party met with U-18 Football team represented  Kachin State which is going to compete in 2023 Region and State U-18 Football Match at public stadium and encouraged the players to try their best to become the professional football players who can enhance the prestige of the state and the nation.

Later, the Chief Minister provided 1.5 millions kyats to team administrator, coach and players.  And the Chief Minister accepted the 6.9 million kyats donated by well wishers and presented certificates of honor to the well wishers.
