Agricultural Research: Research activities at Yazin Agricultural University

Experts and Researchers are carrying out genetic improvement of edible oil seed that is essential for expanding edible oil crop cultivation and promoting oil productivity per acre to increase sufficiency in domestic oil consumption.

Organized by Advance Centre for Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Teachers and post–graduate students conducted the genetic improvement of SinnShweKyar(2) sunflower specie on 9th March.

Deputy Minister Dr Tin Htut visited the worksite in Yazin Agricultural University to observe the work undertakings. He said seeds imports will be reduced only if experts, researchers, farmers and taders participate in seeds production procress in their respective sectors.

Yazin Agricultural University nurtures experts for development of Agriculture sector, and it now reaches centennial in 2024. Staring its centennial year, the university conducts the research works to support production.
