Agricultural Promotion: Discussion on distribution of Urea fertilizer

A meeting on distribution of Urea fertilizer was held at the Ministery of Cooperatives and Development of Rural Areas in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Union Minister U Hla Moe discussed that due to restrictions caused by COVID-19 and high price of imprted inputs and fertilizers, farmers are facing obstacles in agriculture works. The Ministry is cooperating with the related ministies to tackle the situation, and will implement for distribution of quality Urea fertilizers with reasonable price.

Cooperation will also be made with the private companies for import of fertilizers. He called for coopertive efforts all all concerned parties to swiftly implementation of the tasks which could promote agricultural sector and food security. The attendees later discussed the distribution plans and cooperative measures.
