Agricultural Inputs: Discussion on urea fertilizer purchasing, distribution and sale

The Urea Fertilizer Purchasing, Distribution and Sale Steering Committee held a work coordination meeting at the Meeting Hall of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development on Wednesday.
At the meeting, Union Minister U Hla Moe in his capacity as a Chairman of the Steering Committee stressed that the committee is actively working on timely distribution of the qualified fertilizers and pesticides at reasonable prices.
As the prices of the agricultural inputs for the winter oil-crops and summer paddy projects are already set, the current sale and balance of the inputs are needed to be submitted. He also urged to make preparations for agricultural inputs distribution with competitive tender system.
Then, the Secretary of the Steering Committee Permanent Secretary clarified the work implementations on decisions made in previous meeting and a representative from Myanmar Fertilizer, Seed and Pesticide Entrepreneurs Association explained further work implementations.
Then, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut, Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe and attendees made sector-wise discussion and presented reports on current work implementations. Upon reports, the Union Minister fulfilled requirements.
