Agricultural Development : Strategy implementation and coordination meeting

The Agricultural Development Strategy Implementation and Coordination work committee held its 3rd coordination meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation on Friday in the presence of Working Committee Chairman, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut, and other committee members.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister gave a brief discussion upon the pros and cons of the agricultural development strategy (2018- 2023) needed to be reviewed by the relevant organizations.  He also highlighted the importance of sustainable agricultural production for the development of agricultural sector and the need to maintain and use systematic agricultural land resources.

And, working committee members reported the work completion and ongoing procedures as per the relevant sectors. The Working Committee is actively working on implementation of 17 projects and strengthening the Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Lands Management in accordance.

It is reported that land use and permit issues are being strategically implemented as main procedures in the agricultural policy and agricultural development strategy
