






Bago Region Chief Minister U MyoSwe Win on Friday attended a ceremony to present Robusta Coffee seeds and training course for cultivation.
The Chief Minister stressed that the Robusta coffee could yield 2.84 ton per acre, and it could help promote increase income by engaging mix-cropping among the perennial crops and forest plantation. He urged the entrepreneurs to make coordinated efforts with concerned departments to meet the target of cultivating 1,000 acres coffee in coming monsoon.
Then, the Director of Bago Region Agriculture Department explained the cultivation methods of Robusta coffee. This was followed by presenting of Robusta coffee seeds to the entrepreneurs from Bago, Taunggoo, Nyaung Lay Pin and Thayawady Districts. The Chief Minister and party later oversaw the cultivation of Robusta coffee and thriving condition.
