





On Sunday, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung held a meeting with final-year livestock diploma students from the Institutes of Agriculture and Livestock in Pyinmana, Patheingyi and Heho Townships.
The event took place at the Agricultural Extension and Rural Development Training Center (AERDTC) in Nay Pyi Taw Yezin. At the meeting, the Union Minister urged students to apply their knowledge gained from the course in practical work environments and to pursue advanced studies in livestock sciences.
He emphasized the importance of becoming reliable professionals for the interests of the nation and the people, adhering to legal standards in their careers. After the meeting, the Union Minister and officials had lunch, together with the final-year livestock diploma students. During their stay in Nay Pyi Taw, the students visited prominent pagodas, Safari Park, Zoological Garden and the ShweMyo Livestock Zone on October 5th and 6th.
Next, the Union Minister and party visited the Pyinmana No. 2 Sugar Mill to inspect sand deposits left by receding floodwaters and ongoing renovations. The Union Minister instructed factory officials to explore measures to use flood-damaged sugar in fertilizer production.
The Union Minister and party inspected damaged canals and facilities at PaungLaung Dam, instructing timely repairs and water supply for summer paddy. They also observed the replanting of flood-damaged monsoon cotton at TBL Company's cotton field in Zeyathiri Township.
