Agricultural Development : Kachin State CM makes inspection in Wai Maw Township

Since Kachhin State Government is conducting field trip to increase monsoon paddy per area yield and to cultivate subsidiary crop, State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan inspected the monsoon paddy cultivation in WaiMaw Township on 24th January.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister met with local farmers and coordinated the needs including sufficiency of irrigation water and drilling the wells for subsidary crops. The Chief Minister and party then inspected the sesame cultivation near the village and drilling the well.

And, the Chief Minister discussed the matters to cultivate Sinn Akari-3 seeds and to expand the subsidiary crop cultivation. He also coordinated the needs with the departmental officials. At Madane မဒိန် 100 model plantation, the Chief Minister and party met with local farmers and observed the status of Strip Cropping conducted by Agriculture Department, arrangement to get irrigation water sufficiently, and water pumping by solar well.

Later, the Chief Minister met with farmers from War Shaung Kwin, discussed matters related to the winter subsidary crops and provided soya-bean and sunflower seeds for subsidiary crop cultivation.
