Agricultural Development: Implementing livestock zone at Kayin State

Livestock zone has been implementing to enhance production of agriculture and livestock products based on agriculture in Kayin State.

The conditions of the expanding of oil crops cultivation in Kayin State, explained minister of the Economic Affairs.

Minister for Economic Affairs, Kayin State,  Saw Khin Maung Myint said "We targeted cultivation of sunflower as oil crops and will extend to 1.5 million acres as nationwide. In Kayin state, we cultivated over 1,200 acres in the old days and this year we plan to extend cultivation of sunflowers up to over 3002 acres. We have already built the factory to produce fertilizers from animal droppings not to be waste. We will start the operation of the factory by the end of this month."

Nearly 4,000 of Fertilizer bags (50kg each) can be produced form the factory, it is learnt.
