AG600 aircraft has successfully completed the VMU flight test

China’s independently-developed AG600 large amphibious aircraft has successfully completed the velocity minimum unstick (VMU) flight test on Friday in Pucheng in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. The test was carried out with the purpose of determining the lowest takeoff speed of an aircraft.

It laid a solid foundation for the safety and certification of subsequent validation flights of AG600. The successful completion of the test indicates that all critical test subjects with high risks related to the AG600 aircraft have been successfully accomplished. The VMU test is one of the most challenging and high-risk subject for test flight of cargo aircraft.
