Aftermath of MOCHA: Senior military officers inspect rehabilitation works

The State Administration Council assigned senior military officers to implement rehabilitation works in cyclone affected areas.

On 9th June in Kyaukphyu Township of Rakhine State, Lt-Gen Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and departmental officials inspected the work of providing health care services to staff and their family members at the Min Pyin Staff housing.

They also assisted foodstuff and viewed around the completion of rehabilitated departmental offices. He also inspected the drainage system update works and fulfilled the needs.

In Buthidaung township, Lt-Gen Aye Win from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) together with departmental officials inspected the distribution of relief aid to cyclone affected people in 6 districts.

Also, at the township administration department office, they met with the departmental officials and gave necessary instructions. He also visited Aung Mingalar Monastery and donated necessary equipment to make rehabilitation tasks at 6 cyclone-affected monasteries, rice and cash donated by the Disaster Management Department.

In Myebon Township, Brigadier General Kyaw Kyaw Soe held a meeting on faster distribution of 6 relief aid assisted by the Rakhine State Natural Disaster Management Committee to cyclone affected people.

And he fulfilled the needs on reports by related officials. On June 8, Major-Gen Thaung Htike Shwe together with departmental officials visited 3 monasteries in Mrauk-U Township and donated construction materials and foodstuff.
