








A coordination meeting to provide better health care services and reconstruction after the Cyclone MOCHA in Rakhine State was held at the Ministry of Health in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
At the meeting, the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win said that health care services is being provided by emergency response teams and medical teams under the Ministry since 15th May and the need to continue COVID-19 vaccination and infectious and diarrheal diseases prevention programmes, to reopen the nursing and midwifery training school in Sittwe and to carry out building repairing activities in Sittwe.
And, he heard report on repairing activities of Sittwe Hospital building, treatment reoperation and healthcare services by mobile medical team, awareness programme to prevent infectious diseases, distribution of supplied medical equipment and buildings repairing tasks before the monsoon season. Also, officers of the departments of public health in Pauktaw, Minbya, Buthidaung, Maungdaw, Rathedaung, Ponnagyun, Myebon, and Munaung townships as well as Kyaukphyu and Taungup districts reported activities of providing healthcare services.
