





Repair works at the Sittwe University of Rakhine State are underway and efforts are being made to complete the works at the university which was damaged by Cyclone Mocha, according to the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Association. The storm Mocha which hit the country on the 14th of May damaged the roofs of the main buildings and staff housings in the University compound.
The University was re-opened on the 1st of June for third year students and Master Degree Students. On the weekends, it’s opened for distance education students. At the moment, repair works of the three teaching buildings have been completed as the priority. Also, roofs of the dormitories were also repaired, it’s reported.
