Affordable Housing: Over 2,100 Rooms Sold In 3 Years

Over 2,100 rooms were sold under the Mya Yi Nandar affordable housing project during 3 years from 2018 to 2020. 

The project was implemented by Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC). The official from Mandalay City Development Committee explained about the sale of rooms.

Head, Building and Central Stores Department (MCDC), Soe Min Thein said “We’ve sold 1,128 rooms in 2018-2019 fiscal year and 1,008 rooms in 2019-2020 fiscal year, totaling 2,136 rooms. The prices are over 28 million Kyats for ground floor, over 25 million Kyats for the 1st floor, over 23 million Kyats for the 2nd floor, over 21 million Kyats for the 3rd floor, over 19 million Kyats for the 4th floor and over 18 million Kyats for the 5th floor.”

The Mya Yi Nandar affordable housing project was started in 2016 and rooms at 28 buildings were sold in 2018, at 19 buildings in 2019, at 21 buildings in June 2020 and at 21 buildings in August 2020 for government employees, retired government employees, civilians and company staff.
