AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifier : Myanmar defeats Bahrain 6-0 in Group-C final match

Myanmar Women’s National Football Team secured a 6-0 victory over Bahrain in their final Group-C match of AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifier, held at Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon on Saturday.

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung enjoyed the match to support for the national team. Despite the win, Myanmar missed qualification to the Asian Cup finals. Earlier in the tournament, Myanmar had defeated Turkmenistan 8–0 in their opener, but suffered a critical 2–1 loss to Bangladesh on Matchday 2, which cost them the top spot in the group.

With only group winners advancing to the final tournament, Bangladesh secured historic qualification, their first ever appearance in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup finals, after defeating Myanmar 2–1 on July 2.
