Aerials of site of UK oil leak into sea

Workers continued to try to contain an oil leak on Monday which had seeped from the UK's largest onshore oil field into the sea.Authorities had confirmed the leak of nearly 200 barrels of reservoir fluid from the Wytch Farm oil field on Sunday.

Much of it had dispersed into the waters of Poole Harbour on England's south coast.Perenco, which operates the oil field, said the affected pipeline had been shut down and there was no risk of further leakage.Dorset Council urged the public to avoid the waters and beaches close to the harbour.
