Advancing Identity Management: Union Minister oversees Pan Khin Project Implementation

The Ministry of Immigration and Population is currently implementing the Phase-3 of the Pan Khin Project, aimed at issuing 10-Digit Unique ID Numbers following the collection of Biographic and Biometric data through the e-ID system.

On Thursday, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing visited the Kangyidaunt Township Immigration Office in the Ayeyawady Region to observe the work process. During his visit to Pathein, the Union Minister held a meeting with staff from regional, district, and township offices, expressing appreciation for the successful implementation of the Pan Khin Project in collaboration with relevant departments and local authorities.

He added that the ministry is actively engaged in preparing for the Nationwide Population and Household Census scheduled for October. These endeavors aim to issue identity cards to eligible citizens, ensuring the accuracy of the voter's list. Stressing the importance of these processes, the Union Minister called for collaborative efforts from all stakeholders to achieve the targeted objectives.
