Activities in Sittwe: Collective Cleaning and Blood Donation

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin along with the members of Rakhine state government and departmental officials inspected the collective cleaning activities in Sittwe Township on Saturday.

At the Lawkananda Pagoda, the Chief Minister offered flowers, oil lamp and water to the pagoda and viewed the cleaning activity on the pagoda platform by Tatmadawmen and members of the police force and fire brigade and coordinated the requirement.

Then, the Chief Minister and party arrived at No.5 Basic Education High School and inspected collective cleaning work for better flow of water and preventative measures for dengue fever by health care workers at the school and in the ward.

The Chief Minister and party also visited the 500-Bed General Hospital to attend the blood donation ceremony in commemoration of the Myanmar Women’s Day. There, the Chief Minister and party viewed the necessary medical check-up for blood donors and provided nutritious foods to them. The Chief Minister and party also provided foodstuffs and cash assistance to health care workers.
