Activities in Sagaing Region: Fingerling-adding event and taxation meeting

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw participated in the fingerling-adding event into the Chindwin River on Thursday – it’s for ensuring abundance of fish resources in the rivers and creeks and self-sufficiency in fish consumption for urban and rural people.

In this event, 100,000 fingerlings were added into the Chindwin River. It’s reported that the regional Department of Fisheries has added 360,000 fingerlings into the Chindwin River and 300,000 fingerlings into the KanTharYar Lake in Monywa Township so far in the fiscal year of 2024-2025.

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister presided over a taxation meeting 2/2024 at the regional government office. In the meeting, the Chief Minister urged attendees to work hard to collect the tax as the state can manage budget only after receiving the revenue and to cooperate with relevant departments for taxation.

And, the attendees made reports and discussions on taxation tasks and loans collection works. This meeting concluded after the Chief Minister coordinated the discussions.
